Swan Government Dental Clinic

I am not going to complain too much about this Government dental clinic because I can always get an appointment pretty easily and get treatment at a fraction of the cost of a private clinic.My last visit was not so pleasant. The female dental practitioner was having problems anaesthetising a problem tooth. I felt all pain and pressure. Actually, more like yanking my tooth than extracting it. I wailed out in pain. I had given up on the numbing of the tooth and decided to withstand the pain.I was very sternly told that I was to keep quiet because I might frighten other patients in the waiting room. I have a mental illness and this was made clear at the beginning of the appointment. I was brought to tears. This is very unprofessional and downright rude. I was quite hurt. By the way, when I exited the building I saw that the waiting room was completely empty.

Been coming here nearly every other week since April due to a trauma experience. Worst customer service. The rudest receptionists I have ever come across I dread having to call up to speak with them.

I didn't have to go in so it was great. You couldn't drag me into the place! Last time I needed dental work I went private.

Have dodged dentist for10 yrs because of bad bad experirnce..Dr Damian Wong and Alicia were compassion personified. Talked me through everthing. Them made me ok every step ofthe way. Miracle workers and so accepting and welcoming of my issues making it harder and with so much grace and respect. Delighted and totally cared for.thank you again xx

I have recently taken my 83 year old father in law to this clinic with an infected tooth. The dentist who treated him, Dr Desmond Wong has done a phantastic job. I was also very impressed with the level of compassion and care he took with a patient of ethnic background who hasn't seen a dentist many times in his long life. Thank you so much!

well I just experienced one of the most gentle,caring dentists of my 77years,plus an amazing nurse as well.

I had to have a broken temporary crown fixed... the dentist removed the broken bits, replaced it and the adjoining one, to get me through the festive season.Well done guys! and thank you do much for fitting me in at such short notice! I appreciate your care!

Im quite disgusted at how I was treated at my appointment yesterday afternoon @ your clinic. I've not had a problem with a staff member before but they young female dentist who was removing a very sore and infected tooth was very disrespectful to me and I am quite baffled as to why I was spoken to in this manner. I requested the laughing gas as if I'm getting anything painful done it helps calm me. I'm mentally ill and I informed the nurse. She said she was aware. Now, it took a lot of anaesthetic to even partially numb the site. I was in a lot of pain and when she gave my tooth an almighty yank, I naturally reacted and flinched and made a very short wail in pain. I was told that if I wanted her to remove the tooth, I'd have to be quiet or I might scare other patients. I was the only person in the clinic at the time apart from my mother in the waiting room. I cried. Surely some compassion and some caring would have been nice. I was already very nervous about the appointment, I felt I was treated in a very impolite manner. I will add that the assistant was beautiful and very friendly. Thank you, Gemma Batterbury
